Kareem Boykin is an educator, program developer, community engagement advocate, and business manager who values service, dedication, and excellence. As an experienced educator, Kareem brings unique perspectives gained from his experience in non-profit and for-profit organizations. He wants to empower excavators and homeowners to utilize SC811 resources to avoid the potential dangers of underground utility excavation. Using real-world examples, Kareem sheds light on how utility damage prevention best practices positively impact an organization’s goals and mission.
Kareem learned the value of education from his parents at an early age growing up in Bishopville, SC as the oldest of three children. Kareem’s career has been a model of service recognized with awards and decorations.
Kareem knows education is a journey, not simply a destination. This perspective inspired him to teach, develop, inspire, and mentor throughout his career. He brings this same dedication to his work with individuals in the utility industry as they strive to empower their employees and promote safety to customers. He is married to Tiffany Knowlin- Boykin and they have a son, Kaleb.
